Average Monthly East Lansing Rent:  $1,100
Monthly Salary Needed to Afford that:  $3,700
Monthly Salary Earning Minimum Wage:  $1,653

Each week, the St. Thomas St. Vincent de Paul Conference receives 5 to 10 phone calls requesting assistance with rent or utilities.  

Can you help keep these families in their homes in their community and school system?

The St. Thomas Vincentians go out and visit with people to bring home and financial resources.  These families often have nowhere else to turn.  By visiting and showing care and respect, clients know that they matter and are children of God.

Consider making a small sacrifice.  Give up that cup of coffee or large pop from the drive through.  Choose not to eat meat at every meal.  Together our small sacrifices can help a lot of families in our community.
