Pray for Pregnant Mothers
O Blessed Mother, you received the good news of the incarnation of Christ, your Son, with faith and trust. Grant your protection to all pregnant mothers facing difficulties.
Guide us as we strive to make our parish communities places of welcome and assistance for mothers in need. Help us become instruments of God’s love and compassion.
Mary, Mother of the Church, graciously help us build a culture of life and a civilization of love, together with all people of good will, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. Amen.

** IMPORTANT ** There is a petition in Michigan circulating right now called the Right to Reproductive Freedom (AKA Reproductive Freedom) initiative. Do NOT SIGN this petition and EDUCATE yourself. This petition seeks to make abortion at all stages a Constitutional Right in the State of Michigan. It only needs 450,000 signatures by July 11, 2022 to appear on the ballot this November (2022). Once in the Constitution, abortion will be in Michigan forever. It is very important that we understand this because the language of the petition is very deceptive. Bishop Boyea and the other Michigan bishops are all opposing this petition, with Bishop Boyea stating that signing places one “in danger of grave or mortal sin.”

Based in the truth of Scripture that every human life is created in the image of God and has God given dignity, since its beginnings in 2007, 40 Days for Life campaigns have been instrumental in the sparing of over 18,000 lives from abortion through prayer, fasting and public peaceful vigil.
Scripture teaches us that human life is sacred. Each of us is created in the image of God. We are each called to defend, protect and value all human life.
A great prayer for life is urgently needed, a prayer which will rise up throughout the world. Through special initiatives and in daily prayer, may an impassioned plea rise to God, the Creator and lover of life, from every Christian community, from every group and association, from every family and from the heart of every believer.
Pope Saint John Paul II
