Advent House Ministries

Advent House Ministries, (AHM) provides food, shelter, housing, education, and employment assistance to those struggling with poverty and homelessness in our community. Our parish serves lunch on the third Saturday of each month. Volunteers are needed to both cook and serve meals. Catholic Charities

St. Vincent Catholic Charities (StVCC) serves our community through programs such as: adoption, foster care, counseling services, refugee resettlement, and immigration law services. All of our parish deacons have experience with StVCC, contact them for further suggestions on getting involved.

Cristo Rey Community Center

Holy Cross Services

Holy Cross Services (HCS) was founded in 1948 as Boysville of Michigan and has grown from one site to 20 and continues to provide hope and healing to children, adults and their families. Homeless Angels

Homeless Angels is a Christian street-based ministry in Lansing, Michigan, founded in 2013 with a mission to find, befriend and build up those that are less fortunate.  Use the above link to learn more about volunteer opportunities or visit Homeless Angels to learn more about their mission.

Mother Teresa House

Mother Teresa House (MTH) is a care home in downtown Lansing for terminally ill people.  In the spirit of St. Teresa of Calcutta, loving care is provided at no charge to the guests.  Volunteers are needed to care for the guests on evenings and weekends. Outreach Ministry

Please consider the ministry of bringing Holy Communion to those who are homebound, hospitalized or in care homes.  Contact Patrick Paddock for training and scheduling either by e-mail, p[email protected], or by phone: 517-337-9778, ext. 130 .  And please contact Patrick if you know of parishioners who are homebound and in need of the sacraments.

Prayer Blanket Ministry

Do you like to sew? We need your help making prayer blankets and quilts for our parishioners who are hospitalized, sick, or who feel alone. To get involved, please contact Arlene Piotrowicz at [email protected] or Margaret McCullough at [email protected].

Prison Ministry

Our diocese seeks to minister to those in prison as a corporal work of mercy.  To learn more about our diocesan outreach, use this link for information on our Pen Pal Program.  To take part in religious services or praying with and accompanying inmates at the Ingham County Jail in Mason, please contact Deacon Ken Preiss at [email protected] or click HERE. 
 

Rosary Altar Society

The Rosary Altar Society (RAS) is a spiritual and social group of Catholic women, 18 years and older, who carry out good works--such as coordinating funeral lunches, caring for the church sanctuary (linens, flowers, fonts & the Infant of Prague statue), pro-life and prayer blanket ministry--as well as intercede for the parish.  Please join them in praying the rosary each month or follow the above link for more information. Senior Ministry

This advisory committee exists to plan monthly activities from overnight retreats to luncheons with informative speakers.  These events are open to all members of our parish who are interested in attending. To get involved, please contact Maureen Dillon, [email protected].
