April 30 - May 8
We will be blessed to have the Diocesan Fatima Statue at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. This statue is hand carved from one piece of cedar wood and comes from Fatima, Portugal. She arrived here in the diocese in 1977. Before arriving, she was personally taken to the Fatima shrine by their bishop and blessed by him with the hope that she would touch many hearts here in the Lansing Diocese. Since that time she has visited the majority of parishes in the diocese and her motherly presence has blessed many. With all that is going on in the world, especially in the Ukraine, her Fatima message speaks to all of us.
On May 7, a special First Saturday celebration will follow the 9:00am Mass including Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, confession opportunities, enrollment in the
Brown Scapular (as Our Lady asked at Fatima), praying the Rosary, Benediction, and a reception to follow in Fr. Mac Hall.
Please come and join us for this special celebration in May, the month of Our Lady!
