Our parish serves lunch on the third Saturday of each month at Advent House ministries, located at the corner of Oakland Avenue and Martin Luther King Blvd in Lansing. Volunteers are needed both to cook and serve the meal. Cooks arrive at 9 a.m. and are usually done by 11:30; servers arrive by 11:00 to serve the meal. Serving normally takes about an hour, but you will be done no later than 1 p.m. No experience is needed; someone is always present who can teach newcomers what to do. This is a great service opportunity for families, students and all parishioners. Transportation can be provided.
